No: 97, 11 April 2019, Press Release Regarding Latest Developments In Sudan

Republic Of Turkey Ministry Of Foreign Affairs 11.04.2019

We are closely following the developments in Sudan, with whom we have comprehensive relations in the African continent and deep-rooted brotherly ties.

The basic desire of the people of Sudan is the establishment of peace and stability in the country and the adoption of measures which would enable overcoming the economic difficulties. We hope that this transition process will be conducted peacefully, with a view to meeting the expectations of the Sudanese people and within the framework of constitutional democracy and national consensus.

Protecting the security and stability of Sudan is vital for the stability of the whole region.

As always, Turkey will continue to stand by and support the brotherly people of Sudan to ensure Sudan’s stability, welfare and security.
